Angry Akon fans ransack Pune hotel

Pune: Angry fans of Akon ransacked West Inn hotel in Pune on Friday after the Hollywood singer refused to perform there.

Akon came to the hotel, cut a cake to celebrate his birthday, and walked out shortly after that. The fans were promised that Akon would sing.

According to some reports, Akon was not given permission to perform as the local organisers did not have the necessary foreign artiste performance licence.

They had been charged Rs. 2500 per ticket to see Akon perform. People are now demanding a refund.
